There are several election ... correction, elect-yum ... day fundraisers in the shire, not least that of Mittagong Public School.
The Pioneer St premises will be hosting a P&C barbecue and cake stall from 8am until all sold out on March 28.
All proceeds will benefit the school. Recent P&C projects have included the purchase of library books and computers.
Year 6 scholars in the Student Representative Council acted as cake stall scrutineers this week, closely checking the goods.
Elliot Moore, Tom Hall, Peta Smith and Jenny Kracht sampled chocolate muffins, strawberry donuts and macadamia cookies.
The vote was too close to call, so everyone was declared a winner on the day.

- Bowral Public School in Bendooley St: a barbecue and cake stall, 9am-1pm
- Bundanoon Public School in Church St: a sausage sizzle and cake stall with specially packaged cake box decorations plus an Easter egg hamper raffle
- Colo Vale Community Hall on Railway Ave: a sausage sizzle and cake stall from 8am until sold out (all proceeds benefit the hall's maintenance)
- Hill Top Public School in Linda St: a barbecue (bacon and eggs rolls! sausage sandwiches!) and cake stall with tea and coffee in the canteen, 8am-2pm
- Mittagong Pre-School on Waverley Pde: a cake stall from 8am until sold out
