At about 1.15am this morning (Wednesday, March 4) a man armed with a large spanner entered a service station on Argyle Street.
Police have been told the man threatened the male attendant who handed over money from the cash register.
The intruder left the premises and was last seen walking north on Argyle Street.
No one was injured during the incident.
Police from Camden Local Area Command are investigating the matter.
They have appealed for anyone with information about the robbery to come forward.
In particular, they would like to speak with a man who may be able to assist with their inquiries.
He is described as being about 180cm tall, with a slim to medium build and olive skin.
The man spoke with a slight accent.
At the time of the incident the man was wearing a black, long-sleeved shirt and a white t-shirt or cloth wrapped around his face and head in a mummy-style.
