When stumps were drawn on day one of the two-day game, the honours were even between the first grade cricket teams.
Bowral batted first and compiled a total of 220 runs from 70 overs.
Robertson's bowling attack was forced to work hard on a flat pitch and without star quick Mitch Wright.
Nathan Ring was the pick of the bowlers with three wickets, while spinners Ben Hamilton and Aaron de Jager took two each.
Robertson captain Nathan Wright said it was a tough day for his team's bowling unit.
"It was a flat track, so it was a tough day at the office," he said.
"We took a couple of early wickets but the ball was not doing much.
"We were going through the motions a bit, but to keep it (the run rate) to three an over was not bad."
In reply, Robertson was 0/6 before stumps were drawn.
Wright said his side needed to be patient at the crease when play resumed this Saturday.
"We need to take a leaf out of Bowral's book - they were patient, then the runs came," he said.
"We need to keep wickets in hand and get past their score before we see what happens next.
"But 220 will take some chasing."
