The club's Seniors and Colts (under-20s) will begin training tonight, January 29 at 6pm at Eridge Park.
The Blacks have already secured some off-field wins before the rugby season has even started.
In the biggest news, the NSW Country Championships will come to Bowral this June.
A match in the Shute Shield premier grade rugby competition will be held at Eridge, with Sydney Uni to meet East Suburbs on March 28.
Before that contest, Gordon and Queanbeyan will play pre-season trial matches in Bowral in late February.
Away from the field, ongoing renovations continue at the Blacks clubhouse to set up the venue as modern and state of the art.
The club recently announced the acquisition of Paul Frean as head coach.
Frean will also set up a coach and player development program, which aims to level the level of coaching and individual player skills at the Blacks.
Frean will work in tandem with Australian Rugby Union (ARU) development officers to facilitate the development of significant local talent.
The Blacks hope to see more Highlanders noticed by the ARU for future representative honours.
The club aims to expand player development through the Colts and Seniors teams.
All players, returning and new, are welcome to attend training at Eridge Park tonight.
Participants will take part in a light session.
Training will be followed by a barbecue and refreshments at the club.
