A CRICKET match was held at Bradman Oval on Sunday to highlight a worthy cause.
The Bradman Foundation XI hosted the Lucky Stars Australian Transplant Cricket Inc in a 40-over contest.
The match was held to raise awareness for tissue and organ transplant donations.
Cricketers who had been a transplant recipient or donor came from as far as Melbourne to represent the Lucky Stars.
The Bradman outfit was boosted by the inclusion of former NSW and Sydney Sixers wicketkeeper Daniel Smith.
Smith said he was happy to play and support the Lucky Stars.
"The Lucky Stars are such a good organisation and it's for a good cause," he said.
The Lucky Stars batted first and compiled 8/183 from its allotted 40 overs.
Tim Chisholm top scored with 55no, while Geoff Gowland was the pick of the bowlers with 2/29.
At the time of going to press, the Bradman XI was cruising to victory at 3/148 after 23 overs.
Hayden Kerr had top scored with 51 retired, while Justin Burns took 2/10.
