THE 2015 Moss Vale Classic began on Thursday, January 22 and will continue on Friday at the Moss Vale Golf Club.
The classic is being held as part of the Australian Ladies Professional Golf's (ALPG) Club Car Pro-Am Series.
It is a crucial event for women who aim to play in two of the country's biggest tournaments - the Australian Ladies Masters and Australian Ladies Open.
According to ALPG executive director Karen Lunn, the Moss Vale Classic was one of the biggest ladies golf tournaments in Australia.
Lunn said golfers played an excellent standard at the classic.
“Highlanders will see some very good golf,” she said.
In total, 64 professionals agreed to play at the classic.
The professionals are joined on the course by more than 120 amatuer golfers, including some from the Highlands.
The event attracted players from across the globe, including the US, England, Ireland, Canada, Belgium and the Cook Islands.
Big names in the field include Canadian Lorie Kane and Australian stars Stacey Keating, Sarah Kemp, Nikki Campbell and Rachel Hetherington.
