Held at Bong Bong Racecourse, the event included horse shows and a newly expanded pavilion section.
Pavilion steward Katherine Wood said there had been a large increase in submissions across all areas for this year's show.
"We have so many pieces to exhibit, and the attention to detail in all of the submissions is amazing," she said.
The committee of Bowral Show has been working throughout 2014 to ensure that all practical and administrative details will be spot on for the running of a worthwhile, satisfying show for competitors and visitors alike.
The Southern Highlands Yarn Spinners Group was a special attraction in the pavilion this year as they demonstrated their craft and offered items for sale including miniature hand spun handbags that could be used to keep teeth for the tooth fairy.
Visitors traveled from Sydney and Canberra to take part in the show, and onlookers enjoyed the show and the talent that was exhibited.
The show will continue at Bong Bong Racecourse on Sunday, January 4 for the pet events, including the pet show and dog jumping.
