ROBERTSON/BURRAWANG flexed its premiership muscle on Saturday.
The Robertson first grade team confirmed its strong form with a comprehensive 171-run win over the Wingello Tigers.
The game at Welby Oval was originally scheduled as a two-day match. However, it was reduced to a 45-over contest after last week's action was called off due to poor weather conditions.
Led by captain Nathan Wright's century, Robertson compiled 9/287 from its allotted 45 overs.
Wright top scored with 104 while his brother Mitch (43) and Ben Hamilton (39no) also spent valuable time at the crease.
Arron Deegan was the pick of Wingello's bowlers with 3/32 and Matt Pike took 2/46.
In reply, Wingello struggled to gain momentum and was eventually bundled out for 116 after 32 overs. Bob Lewis provided resistance with 35 and captain Grant Pike scored 26.
Mitch Wright finished with superb figures of 4/26 while Nathan Ring and Hamilton took two wickets apiece.
Nathan Wright said it was a pleasing performance on Saturday.
"We had the runs on the board so it was always going to hard for them to score at eight runs an over to win," he said.
Wingello captain Grant Pike said it was a disappointing loss and Wingello struggled to put together a team.
"Being so close to Christmas, it was hard to find players," he said.
"We only had 10 in the field so we were a bit short on personnel."
