On November 4, representatives from the school received three awards at Sydney Town Hall.
The 'Come Together Award' ceremony acknowledges individuals, schools and groups of schools that have made a significant effort to the corporate goals of the education department and to the promotion of public education in NSW.
Principal Peter Macbeth said it meant a lot to receive the recognition of the outstanding effort, commitment and work that they did in supporting young people.
Staff member of five years Linda Johnston won a classroom teacher award.
She is a music teacher but has also taken on the role of head teacher for the creative and performing arts.
"She believes so strongly in the benefits that providing students with opportunities to engage in creative and performing arts has on their social and personal growth and development," Mr Macbeth said.
Patricia Holmes took home an award for a teacher in an executive role.
She has been the deputy principal at the school for the past three years.
Mr Macbeth said that Ms Holmes had a leading impact on the creation and growth of a very positive culture at the school.
The principal described the two teachers as quietly proud of what they had achieved. Moss Vale High is part of the Moss Vale community of schools and also won an award for school and community partnership.
