BOWRAL teenagers are encouraged to play rugby league in 2015.
The Bowral Kookaburras are back on their feet and under 18s coach Ian Disher is looking for new players.
Disher is part of a new era for the club, which returns to senior Group 6 football next year.
The 2015 Group 6 season is set to begin in March.
Disher was recently named as under 18s coach, while a new coach has taken over the reins in an undecided grade, but possibly as high as reserves.
Disher said things were on track for a 2015 return for the club.
He said he wanted his players to "show that spirit, like Bowral used to be".
"We want to be competitive and to see them do their best," Disher said.
"I'm looking forward to getting the club back on its feet.
"I want to see kids back on the oval playing footy."
The Bowral Kookaburras will hold a meet and greet at Loseby Park on December 4 at 5.30pm.
All interested people are invited to attend.
Senior club president Mick Galvin said the Kookaburras were on track for a good season in 2015.
"I coached the under 16s last year and most said they wanted to play again," he said.
"With the under 18s and grade up, things are looking promising."
