Every Year 7 class has been busy creating a film which showcases the learning students have achieved in their first year of high school.
The students have completed film making workshops and each class has used a digital camera, tripod and computer to create the movie.
Bowral High School deputy principal John Staats said the project was all about engagement.
"All students do learning in their area of skill, interest or talent through project-based learning," Mr Staats said.
"Students learn in different ways and have different talents and interests and our designation of classes by focus interest, together with the projects and film making are all ways for students to engage and excel in their learning."
This year the students had the opportunity to complete the project with the University of Wollongong's Year 7 Enrichment Program through its In2Uni Program.
"The benefits of the program are engaged students having fun, being extended and learning new skills, particularly in the area of visual and cine-literacy," Mr Staats said.
"The project is also a brilliant transition to high school where Year 7, the newest year, becomes a focus and showcase for the whole school - in Education Week and in the end of year Showcase Finale."
The films were officially showcased at the Bowral High School Showcase Finale for Year 7 on Wednesday night at the Empire Cinema Bowral.
Eleven Year 7 films were played as well as three Year 8 films, which were the combined work of Bowral High students through the Park Road Youth Hub and Vincent McManus.
