These are the qualities of Dominic Chandler which will never be forgotten by all those who knew him.
Dom, D-man and Dommy C, as he was fondly nicknamed by his friends, would have been 22 yesterday (November 20). He tragically and unexpectedly died on November 5.
His passing followed a long, but seemingly controlled battle with depression. Those around him could never have foreseen the black wave that swept over him that night.
Family and friends gathered to farewell their "great mate" and a young man who was devoted to his family at a funeral service at Chevalier College on November 17.
Dom was the only son of David and Ann Chandler, the brother of Rose who is engaged to Colin Clarke and Amy who is married to Rob Lee with their children Jordyn and Ava.
He has made a lifetime of wonderful memories with his family. One that often springs to mind to them are birthday gatherings where his mother, who had chosen a song to celebrate each of their children's births, would play Stevie Wonder's 'You are the Sunshine of My Life' every year on Dom's birthday.
He was born and raised in the Southern Highlands attending St Thomas Aquinas Catholic School and Chevalier College.
Dom was more recently employed as an apprentice turner and fitter at Bowral Brickworks for three years.
He was a young man who loved travelling and spending time with family and friends.
A talented sportsman, Dom shone in the pool both as a swimmer and playing water polo. He also played cricket, touch football, rugby and hockey for the college.
His sporting versatility and broad smile ensured he endeared himself to everyone he met.
With such a great impact on the lives of so many people it is not surprising that the community has rallied to raise money for BeyondBlue in the memory of Dom the D-Man.
