An unbroken final partnership of 36 runs between veterans Greg Kruger and Grant Lewis guided Bowral to victory over the East Bowral Blues at Stephens Park.
Bowral captain Phil Sherley said he was pleased to record a narrow win.
"We were outplayed and the two old warhorses (Kruger and Lewis) got us home," he said.
"In a strange sort of way, I had the confidence that they'd do well, but it only takes one good ball."
The Blues batted first and compiled a total of 86 runs from 19.2 overs.
Kevin Hill top scored 46, but Taylor Nash (12) was the only other batsman to reach double figures.
Clayton was the pick of the bowlers with 4/13 from overs and Amitkumar Bhatia collected two wickets.
In reply, Bowral was in trouble early at 2/8 and never truly recovered. The game appeared to be over when the side was 9/87, but Kruger (14no) and Lewis (10no) led Bowral to victory in the 34th over.
David Binns tried his best for East Bowral, finishing with figures of 4/12 from four overs.
While Bowral celebrated, Blues captain Nigel Elton was left to lament a missed opportunity.
"There was a bit of slack work with the bowling... but that's cricket," he said.
"Sometimes it goes your way, sometimes it doesn't.
"We were playing quite well, but it petered out at the end."
