More than 1000 Highlanders gathered at Bradman Oval to grab a glimpse and maybe even meet Indian cricket great Sachin Tendulkar AM.
Mr Tendulkar arrived at the oval by helicopter and was given a rousing reception yesterday morning.
He addressed the crowd before young Highlanders were given the opportunity to bowl to the leading run scorer in the history of Test cricket.
In the afternoon, he took a private tour of the Bradman Museum.
Mr Tendulkar said he was pleased to be able to visit Bowral.
"I see terrific energy here and the future stars of Australia," he said.
"I really wish you all the very best and thanks for having me here."
When asked about the cricketing talent he had seen in Bowral, Mr Tendulkar said there were some "unpolished diamonds".
""I'm sure with the right guidance and the right coaching, they'll become priceless diamonds," he said.
"That's what we're all here for, to encourage and support the youngsters.
"The Bradman Foundation has done a fantastic job in encouraging them because this is the time when you need the most amount of encouragement - it's a magical tonic to youngsters."
Mr Tendulkar was in Australia to attend the Bradman Gala Dinner in Sydney on Wednesday night, where he became a Bradman Honouree alongside Australian Test great Steve Waugh AO.
