THE Southern Highlands will host the Tough Mudder competition on November 15 and 16.
Tough Mudder is an 18km obstacle course challenge designed by British Special Forces.
It tests the all-round strength, stamina, teamwork and camaraderie of NSW's toughest competitors.
Thousands will descend on the bushland course at Wingello to tackle ocstacles including ice water, a greasy quarter-pipe, live electrical wires and a whole lot of mud.
Over the past six months, the course designers have been hard at work designing the course layout with plenty of new challenges.
According to the Tough Mudder website, only 78 per cent of participants will complete the gruelling obstacle course.
