THREE Highlands rugby league players have a big opportunity to impress.
Mittagong Lion Pat Brown has been selected in the Western Suburbs Magpies' 2015 Harold Matthews train-on squad, while Moss Vale pair Ray Stone and Tom Angel have been picked in the Magpies' SG Ball train-on squad.
Twenty Group 6 footballers were selected in the two squads, with clubs represented being Mittagong, Moss Vale, Thirlmere, Picton, Narellan, Warragamba, Camden and The Oaks.
Player assessments were completed by Western Suburbs and the South West Sydney Academy of Sport (SWSAS) after the junior representatives trials at Camden's Kirkham Park last weekend.
According to the Magpies website, an information session for both the Harold Matthews and SG Ball squads has been scheduled for the last week of October.
This session will provide an outline of the program, which starts in early November.
