Wingecarribee Shire Council will offer free swim classes tailored for slow to medium and fast adult swimmers as part of their Swim4Fitness program.
Council's pool and facilities supervisor Tannia Andrews said swimming was a "fantastic" way to get outside, get fit and enjoy the Highlands summer.
"The Swim4Fitness program we're offering is for adult swimmers who want to sharpen their skills and learn how to get the most out of their swim sessions," Ms Andrews said.
Dedicated lanes will be set aside for each level of swimmers.
All classes are free and will be held over the summer swim season at the Bowral Swimming Centre.
Class times are as follows:
Tuesday mornings from 6.15am to 7am
Wednesday evenings from 6pm to 6.45pm
Saturday mornings from 9.30am to 10.15am
All swim sessions will be supervised by qualified Austswim instructors.
One-on-one personalised lessons with instructors can also be booked through the Bowral Swimming Centre at a cost of $20 per half hour session.
"Novice, intermediate and experienced swimmers are all welcome to attend," Ms Andrews said.
"Apart from gaining some swim tips, we're confident participants will meet some like-minded new friends."
Council's Swim4Fitness program will start from Tuesday , October14 and continue throughout the swim season.
No bookings are necessary however standard pool admission charges apply.
