The South Hill Gallery will open Nature's Palette tomorrow afternoon at 2pm and the exhibition will run until Sunday, October 26.
Elizabeth is an accomplished artist who has exhibited in the Southern Highlands, Sydney and beyond.
She will show works of art that are an emotional expression or response to her surroundings and the affect they have on her senses.
Her creative process involves three basic stages: to see...to feel...to create.
"I paint something that really appeals to me and clicks with my emotions," Elizabeth said.
"It's an emotional response to the local area, the Murry Murrumbidgee and the Snowy region that inspires me.
"The other place that inspires me is the escarpment when you're driving back up from Kangaroo Valley of a late afternoon. It's absolutely magnificent."
Elizabeth has been a long-time supporter of the South Hill Gallery.
"We go down there quite often and have supported them as visitors to numerous exhibitions and this year I'm exhibiting because they asked me to," she said.
Elizabeth said she painted for herself, but exhibitions were still a draining experience.
"I get nervous because you're putting yourself and your work out there," she said.
"Everyone is welcome to come - Goulburn is less than an hour away from here and the gallery is open Friday, Saturday and Sunday."
Mrs Young's artwork will be available for purchase.
