Rona Lodge was awarded Best Property for Weddings in the annual Stayz awards night in Melbourne.
Stayz is a holiday rental website with more than 40,000 properties listed.
It was the first year the property was entered in the awards and owner David Graham said winning was a great thrill.
"We've done a lot of work on the weddings and so winning, we felt rewarded for all that hard work," he said.
"The Southern Highlands is having an explosive expansion in the wedding business, but there's plenty of business to go around.
"I think the win is good for the Southern Highlands generally as it puts us a little bit more on the map."
While Rona Lodge is already heavily booked, Mr Graham said there were still some openings and they were considering something new.
"We want to promote winter weddings," he said.
"There's a discount involved, which is really important to some brides, and it offers a completely different theme."

Mr Graham said they would decorate the marquee and turn it into a winter wonderland.
"There's a real market for winter weddings and while it's been done elsewhere, it's not been done in the Highlands," he said.
Despite claiming the title of Best Property for Weddings, Mr Graham said they wouldn't enter the competition in the same category again.
"We might put ourselves in for Best for Indulgence or something, but we'll leave weddings for someone else and let them get recognised," he said.
