2 Park Road store owner Melinda Lamond braved the ice bucket challenge for MND research on Wednesday.
In conjunction, 50 cents from every coffee sold at 2 Park Road on the day went towards the worthy cause.
On Wednesday afternoon, Ms Lamond confirmed the store had raised more than $300.
The ice bucket challenge has been popular on social media with the campaign raising funds and awareness for MND research.
Participants are ‘nominated’ for the challenge by a friend, before they nominate other people.
Ms Lamond was nominated by her friend Nicol Hall, of Mt EIiza.
Before the challenge, Robert McLennan acted as an ‘auctioneer’, with bidding open for who would tip the bucket over Ms Lamond.
Ms Lamond’s daughter Clara, Sharon Lewis, Michelle Gould, Lee Ellice-Flint and Lisa Ditton pledged $120 to undertake the honour outside the store.
Afterwards, a donation bucket was taken around 2 Park Road store.
Ms Lamond said she was “relieved” to finish the challenge.
“I feel very refreshed,” she said.
Ms Lamond named her nominations for the ice bucket challenge - Highlander Sally Madigan and her sisters Tina Macklin, Jill Berke, Jean Hamilton and Karen Wentzel, who all live in America.
According to the Motor Neurone Disease Australia website, more than $700,000 has been raised for the cause in Australia.
