Rona Lodge in Sutton Forest has been nominated in the 'Best for Weddings' category in the 2014 Stayz Group Holiday Rental Awards.
Rona Lodge owner David Graham said it was the first time they had nominated the property.
"We've had the property for 10 years and have been running it with Stayz for about two-and-a-half years," he said.
"We've only been doing weddings with Stayz for 12 months and we thought it was ready to be nominated."
The awards recognise the most outstanding holiday properties across Australia and Mr Graham said he believed Rona Lodge was a genuine contender.
"I've looked at all the competition and I'm flying down to Melbourne for the awards night, so fingers crossed," he said.
"It's a magnificent Conneticut style home on 15 acres and it's like going to your own private resort."
Rona Lodge has an indoor swimming pool, a chef's kitchen and large, well manicured gardens.
"They're like botanical gardens with fountains and most bridal parties want to get married there with the big fountain as the backdrop," Mr Graham said.
The property has gained popularity as a wedding venue over the last 12 months and Mr Graham said they had moved slowly with weddings to ensure they got it right.
"We're ready to go full on now and promote it," he said.
"We do a range of different weddings which are catered by Centennial Vineyards Restaurant, who've been doing restaurants for more than 10 years."
The winners will be announced at a dinner in Melbourne tomorrow.
Stayz is a holiday rental website with more than 40,000 properties listed.
