Omar was nominated for the Oscar for Best Foreign Language Film and is a searing meditation on the pressures and damage inflicted on Palestinian life by Israeli occupation.
Tickets to the film were $20 per person, which included refreshments and raffle tickets were available at the door.
The evening raised $5000 which will go directly to Australian People for Health, Education and Development Abroad's (APHEDA) Gaza Humanitarian Appeal.
The evening was held by the Palestinian Support Group and spokesperson Maree Byrne said she was grateful to the people of the Southern Highlands for their support.
