WITH less than two years experience in the sport of darts, Michaela Casson has again proven she has plenty of natural talent.
Casson was recently selected in the Australian junior team that will take on New Zealand next month.
While the team was officially released last Saturday, Casson said she found out a couple of months ago she would be selected in the side.
"I only started last year (which is) pretty good," she said.
Casson was selected from a few Darts Players Australia (DPA) tournaments throughout the year.
The Australian team will take on New Zealand on August 26 at Warilla Bowling and Recreation Club.
Casson said she would most likely play singles and mixed doubles.
It has already been a big year for Casson after she represented NSW at the Australian Junior Championships in January.
She has already had a state trial this year and has another one in the coming months.
"I just want to continue playing darts.
"Whatever (teams) I can get into will be good."
Casson encouraged any interested juniors to come and have a game of darts at Mittagong RSL on Wednesday afternoons from 4.30-5.30pm.
Junior darts is also held at Bargo Hotel on Tuesday afternoons from 5-6pm.
There will also be social darts at the Mittagong RSL over the coming months. To play the fee is just $3 and there will be prizes from first through to fourth.
The dates for social darts will be August 8 and 22, September 26, October 3 and 17 and December 5, 12 and 19.
