SHE'S a regular in black and gold for Robertson's first grade ladies team.
But Ash Mayo will soon be in sky blue as she represents NSW at the women's open national competition next month.
Mayo was recently selected in the NSW women's country team after she played for the South Coast at the women's open state tournament.
South Coast won second division and for Mayo, this will be her first time representing NSW.
The inside forward is new to the Highlands area and has played with Robertson for the first time this year.
She also played down the coast for Gerringong each weekend.
"It started off as a way to meet new people and it just turned into something I really enjoy doing," she said.
"This is my first year so it's pretty exciting. I think every hockey player has expectations that they want to meet in the tournament and I certainly have a few. I also just want to meet a new bunch of girls and I think it will be a really good experience to gain some new skills as well."
The inside forward will travel with the NSW team to Toowoomba, Queensland on August 31 to take on teams from across the country.
