IT WAS a difficult day for Hill Top as it faced Yerrinbool in the premier league match on its home turf.
The Bushrangers led 2-0 at half time before Rachel Van der Meer pegged the score back to 2-1 midway through the second half.
But Yerrinbool proved too strong at home and ran out 6-1 winners.
Hill Top coach John Parsons said with the weight of possession near the box in the second half, Yerrinbool capitalised on its chances.
"It's a bit unfortunate and the girls were disappointed because the scoreline didn't reflect the way the y played," he said.
"They played quite well with the ball and played more constructive football. They played better than what they did in the first round. Yerrinbool are a good side, there's not many weaknesses there."
This year Hill Top moved up into premier league and while it has been a challenge for the side, Parsons said the girls continued to improve each week.
"It's tough but they're improving so I'm happy with that and all the girls had a good game."
This weekend Hill Top will face Robertson G.
"I'm looking forward to a good game against them and hopefully the girls can play just as well against them as they have done the last two weeks."
Hill Top sits at the bottom of the premier league ladder, just two points behind Robertson G.
Despite its first loss on the weekend, Bundanoon still leads the competition.
