Following the Ordinary Meeting of Council on June 25, when Bowral Rugby Club members demanded apologies from Councillor Garry Turland regarding his "slanderous" and "misleading" comments, more apologies were sought on Wednesday.
The issue surrounded grant funding allocated to the Bowral Rugby Club earlier this year.
On Wednesday, Cr Uliana put forward a motion requesting Cr Turland to offer his apology unreservedly in the chamber to Bowral Rugby Club assistant treasurer Tim Stevens.
"In order to perhaps progress and to move forward, and in the interest of integrity of this chamber, I would genuinely ask that Cr Turland once again offer his unreserved apology to both Mr Stevens and to this community and to this chamber for those misrepresentations," Cr Uliana said.
Mr Stevens addressed the chamber in regards to the matter.
"For the public record, at no time have I misled the public, council or anyone as Cr Turland has suggested," he said.
"With respect, I request that Cr Turland in this chamber therefore retract his suggestion that I misled the public and secondly apologise for incorrectly stating that I had mislead the public."
Councillor Duncan Gair moved an amendment for the issue to be noted.
Councillor Ian Scandrett seconded the motion and asked if Cr Turland had stood by his word from the last Ordinary Meeting of Council and visited the rugby club committee to discuss the matter.
Cr Turland said the answer was no.
"They had a chance to ask me in the last month and nothing has happened," Cr Turland said.
"I'm prepared to meet with the club and we will discuss the issues."
