RUNNERS will be lacing up their shoes in preparation for the Sixty4 Southern Highlands Challenge, which will be held in Wingello State Forest on Sunday, August 31.

Hundreds of runners will tackle hammering single track, forest tracks, steep climbs, water crossings and dirt roads.
There will be short, medium and long trail runs available for runners of all ages from experienced ultrarunners to school children and pensioners.
Anyone is welcome to attend, participate, spectate and cheer.
There will be several events on the same day.
The first will be a one kilometre non-timed event participation event for children 11 years and younger.
There will also be a six kilometre trail race for women, which provides a safe yet challenging course on which beginner trail runners can push their limits.
Other events include a six kilometre course for juniors (under-18), the CamelBak Octane half marathon (21km) and the 50km ultramarathon for experienced trail runners.
Entertainment, food and drink, market stalls and bonfires will ensure everyone enjoys the day.
Bowral resident the Hon John Fahey AC will be the patron of the race.
Fahey is the immediate past president of the World Anti-Doping Association.
Wingello RFS will receive a donation from the event and there will be a cash prize for the school with the highest participation.
All finishers will receive medals, with podium winners receiving trophies and merchandise.
There will be spot prizes throughout the morning .
