In stark contrast to recent years, showgoers were able to enjoy favourable weather and they turned up in numbers.

Heavy rain and severe thunderstorms on Friday afternoon threatened to derail the show, however organisers were relieved on Saturday when the sun shone through and a great day was had by all.

Robertson Show Society president Lisa Stratford was unable to give an official number, but estimated about 3500 people came through the gates.

Ms Stratford said that figure wasn't a show record, but "was up there".

"It was a great show, one of the best in recent years," she said.

"The last two shows have been wet... we were very pleased to see sunshine.

"It was excellent because it was sunny."

All events on the program were able to be held across the two days.

Highlights included the traditional potato races, which attracted a full field of 30 participants.

The main race was won by local resident Pat Pearce, a multiple past winner of the event.Meanwhile, the show's pavilion exhibitions proved popular, with about 2000 entries.

"The pavilion looked fantastic," Ms Stratford said.

There was record numbers in the beef cattle class, while the dog show attracted more than 500 entries.

"We held all events, nothing had to be cancelled. Everything was a success," Ms Stratford said.

Ms Stratford thanked all showgoers and volunteers for their support.

"We've had great feedback," she said.

"We thank all volunteers - the Robertson Show wouldn't happen without them."
