Member for Kiama, Gareth Ward presented a cheque of $15,400 to the RHRS as part of the O'Farrell Government's Community Building Partnership Program.
The program funds community groups which put forward worthwhile building projects.
The RHRS project was completed by local builder Mick Price and provided an all-weather paved extension to the Fettlers Shed Gallery at the station.
RHRS president, Steve Carey and Treasurer Anne Wilson were on hand for the cheque presentation and said the CBP program was a great way to help local not-for-profit groups.
The presentation was a key part of the station's springtime Train Event, which brought hundreds of passengers to the Station to enjoy the open day on September 28.
