Berrima Patchwork mother-daughter team Sue and Tamsin Harvey have organised Quilting in the Highlands, which is attracting more than 120 avid quilters to the area.
"We've got two top teachers coming in from America, Melinda Bula and Carol Doak, Carol has 19 books published on quilting and over one million books in print," Tamsin said.
Three of Australia's well known quilters, Michelle Hill, Sue Dennis and Leesa Chandler will also be teaching at the workshops.
After visiting quilt trade shows in America, Tamsin wanted to bring something different back to Australia.
"We've got a high standard of teachers coming to teach at the workshops, the best of the best."
"We're proud to showcase the Highlands and we will be holding it again in 2013," Tamsin said.
