A FORMER Chevalier College teacher was sentenced to 18 months in prison when he appeared at Goulburn District Court last week for the sexual abuse of three male students between 1983 and 1991.

Brian Walter Napper, formerly of Moss Vale, was convicted of two charges of sexual assault and one charge of aggravated indecent assault after pleading guilty to all three counts in May.
The 64-year-old's 18-month jail sentence included a non-parole period of eight months beginning from the sentencing date (October 27).
