Owners David and Catherine Cotterill also won the Best Established Business Award at Friday evening's glittering award ceremony held at the Mittagong RSL Club.
"We were just stunned, we couldn't even give a thank you speech," Mrs Cotterill said.
"We did it and we have won what I like to call the Gold Logie."
Her husband said it was both an honour and a big responsibility to win the Outstanding Business of the Year Award.
"There are so many other people in the Highlands who run their businesses well and I often get ideas for this place from them, so it truly is a privilege," he said.
"We now have to maintain a very high standard of business."
The Cotterill's have lived and breathed their business for 14 years with Mr Cotterill calling it a major part of both their lives.
"My motto for business is don't get into a business, let a business get into you and it has worked for us," he said.
Mr Cotterill was also quick to credit his staff of 20 for winning the main award.
"We have taken on the administration role, they are the ones that are out front with the people all day and we couldn't have come this far without them," he said.
Mrs Cotterill said they decided on pots because they were previously in the landscaping and garden architecture business and wanted to specialise by branching out into garden ornamentation.
Mr Cotterill added that even though the business had won the main award, they will continue to strive for perfection.
"We are far from being perfect I can tell you that, I think we can get a lot better," he said.
"There are lots of business success stories in the Southern Highlands and we are very proud to be one of them."
