I have seen the website for Berrima Gaol and, while it's not a formal prison, a use is being sought for it as it is closing down and has lots of facilities.

Although it belongs to NSW, might I suggest that NSW offer it to the Federal Government as a "Detention Centre" for asylum seekers?

It accommodates 100 people and I'm sure the Minister would find 100 suitable people.

We could assimilate them into our district, as they make excellent citizens.

This would save the government a lot of money and I'm sure turnover would ensure that a lot of people could enter our district.

If it hadn't been for those WW1 German sailors, we wouldn't have our district's cement industry.
