WHILE the cooler weather earlier this week was welcomed it certainly didn’t do Monday’s News editorial any service.
Despite chilly temperatures negating the weekend’s heat-fest, the prospect of hotter, drier summers to come does not seem enticing at all.
But what do you think?
One of the newspaper’s most popular segments is the opinion page, which is devoted to the thoughts and thanks of Highlanders across the shire.
With 2009 drawing to a close, now is a great time to get those thoughts down on paper and drop us a line.
Tell us what you think about Council, or the state and federal government, or what about the News itself?
Maybe you’d like to comment on topical local, national or international issues, or simply want to let us know about someone who has done something special in the area.
They could be your friends, family, neighbour, or even a complete stranger.
We love receiving letters of all sorts - complaints and compliments, and it’s great to be able to acknowledge all the wonderful people and services out there with a simple public notice.
There must also be a heap of Christmas and summer holiday events worth publicising. So, get writing and send the letters to 28 Wingecarribee Street, Bowral, NSW 2576 or to PO Box 109 Bowral NSW 2576.
You can also send email correspondence to editor.highlandnews@ruralpress.co m or leave a comment on the Southern Highland News website at yourguide.bowral.com.au.
