A?RECORD number of players helped Bowral Water Polo Club kick off their season last Monday, with 35 junior teams and eight senior teams taking part in the action.

The first game was played between last year’s premiers the Sharks and a new look Polar Bears, with the Sharks coming out on top 11-3.
Miles Lochhead, Siobhan Coombs and Jason Webb all earned points for best and fairest from the match.
The second game between Mariners and All Stars was a tight match, with All Stars’ star recruit Ket Grant helping them to a 7-4 win.
Junior players Tom Cowley, Jack Lisle and Mitchell Barnes all earned themselves best and fairest points.
The young team from Picton, the Piranhas, took on a newly formed Campbelltown Pirates team with the Piranhas finally coming out on top.
The last game was between Steve Dunn’s team based at Mittagong swimming club and the newly formed Berrima team. Unfortunately the new team was still organising their full complement so in the end they played a scratch match with the Mittagong Dolphins taking home the points.
