26 May, 2009 11:15 AM
FORMER Wallabies players Bill Young, Jeremy Paul, Rod Moore and Damien Smith will take to the field against the Bowral Blacks at Eridge Park on Sunday June 7.

The Blacks suffered their sixth consecutive loss on Saturday, going down 28-12 against the Vikings, but the players will receive a well-timed boost and the opportunity to play against World Cup winning former Wallabies.

The Classic Wallabies team will also include former super-rugby players Simon Kasprowitz, Steve Talbot, Travis Hall and Jim Swan and will be coached by legendary Wallaby and Randwick centre Glen Ella.

As a curtain-raiser, at 1.30pm the Bowral Blacks “Wilted Tulips” take on a Balmain Golden Oldies side that includes former Waratah Scott Bowen.

Tthe day will be led off at noon with the Bowral Blacks under-18s lining up against the Camden Rams.

Blacks president Tony Fountain said it would be a real family day with the club having a jumping castle for the kids and the canteen, bar and café upstairs all open and operating.
