While Robertson's under-18s continue to fly the flag, any hope of the club's DNC side making the semis were dashed when they were completely outclassed by The Oaks, to the tune of 44-4 at Robertson Showground on Sunday.
Languishing at the bottom of the competition table, hopes were still high the Spuddies would turn their DNC year around and provide The Oaks with stiff opposition.
But from the moment the Tigers scored in the fourth minute, any hope of a Spuds revival went out the window as The Oaks asserted their superiority, racing to a commanding 26-4 halftime lead.
Robertson’s inability to control possession coupled with a high mistake rate gave The Oaks a mountain of possession, which they used to spread the ball, running the Spuds ragged.
As the game wore on, frustration began to creep into Robertson's play and both Brad Maloney and Jay Bruce fell foul of the referee and spent time in the sin bin.
In a well-beaten side, Tilley was a standout ahead of club president Grant Pointing, playing his first game of 2008, and front rower Scot Reay.
o Centre Pat Pearse helped himself to a hat-trick of tries as the under-18 Spuddies notched up the half century in swamping The Oaks 50-14.
