MITTAGONG Public School won the under-10s Hindmarsh Cup, while Moss Vale took home the under-12s Noble Challenge to claim honours as the best school teams in the Southern Highlands.

Mittagong PS matched up against Colo Vale PS in the Cup final, after both sides went through the pool games undefeated.

Unfortunately for Colo Vale, Mittagong were red-hot throughout the tournament and claimed the Cup with a 16-0 victory.

In the Noble Challenge, Moss Vale proved too good, winning all of their pool games and topping it off with a 34-0 win over Hill Top in the final.

Robertson born-and-bred Nathan Hindmarsh, who plays rugby league for the Parramatta Eels, presented the winners shields and medals.

Country Rugby League Development officer Scott Borg said there was a lot of football talent on show at the gala day.

He said there were many great team and individual tries scored.
