BOWRAL couldn’t match the muscle of Minto Cobras when the two teams met in third grade rugby league last Sunday, with the Bunnies succumbing 38-12 at Community Oval.
It was a rare Highlands game for the red and greens and the club looks forward to another match at Community Oval this weekend.
Bowral trailed 20-0 at halftime, but consecutive tries to halfback Todd Fairbairn and forward Daniel Robertson put the Bunnies back in the game at 20-12.
But that was as close as it got for Bowral as Minto ran in four unanswered tries to secure the competition points.
Bowral’s best were Fairbairn and Peter Buchan.
The Bunnies play Liverpool’s All Saints at 11.30am on Sunday.
