The Bowral Bunnies put in a much-improved performance than their first round mauling by Mittagong, going down 30-18 to Warragamba on Sunday.
After trailing 18-8 at the break the Bunnies outscored the Wombats three tires to two in the seoncd stanza but poor goal kicking cost the them dearly. The cellar dwellers only slotted one of five conversions, while the Wombats nailed all but one of their kicks.
Coach Mick Galvin was upbeat about the 12-point loss.
“The boys were 150 per cent better than last week and that first win is just around the corner.
“Our ball control was a lot better and we completed our sets,” he said.
