Wollongong trainers scooped the pool at the Moss Vale greyhounds on Saturday, winning half of the races on the 12-race program.
Included in this was two winning doubles for Illawarra mentors, with trainers based at the Dapto Superdome enjoying particular success.
Sue Sands was the first to register two wins with littermates Cheeky Hooch and Dashing Hooch taking out the two maiden heats (503m).
The Rapid Journey-Supreme Hooch bitches were both making their first public race starts, with their only other time on a race track coming at a trial a month ago at Nowra.
But the two red brindle pups didn't let their inexperience get the better of them, both recording impressive wins.
Cheeky Hooch (8-1) won the opening race by two lengths from Canyonleigh's Service Court (7-2) with the Bargo-trained Mr Royale (6-4) a length back in third.
The win of Dashing Hooch (5-1) was even more comprehensive with the greyhound shooting out of the boxes from gate eight and leading all the way for a four and a half length victory.
Des Gilroy followed up his fellow Dapto trainer's success in races five and seven, which were both grade five races over 503 metres.
War Office (4-1) was the first winner for Gilroy by a neck in the Tornado Kennel Wash Stakes (503m) and two races later, Hazy Heights (8-1) took out the Southern Highland News Stake (503m) by four lengths.
Immediately after Gilroy's double, East Corrimal conditioner Rosemary Holland brought up her win.
Blue bitch Kylie Rose (2-1), making her first race start, won the Luddenham Meats Flying (307m) to go with kennel mate Great Tempo's (5-2) second placing to Magic Money (10-1) two races earlier in the Duffy Automotive Services Dash (307m).
Warrawong's Ronald Bonnano was the other Wollongong trainer to take out first place, with his white and black bitch Sweet Bess (9-4) winning by a neck in the South Coast Video Stake (623m).
Pheasant's Nest trainer Frank Magro was the closest thing to a local winner on Saturday after his bitch Fi's Token (7-2) saluted in the Illawarra Mercury Stake (503m).
In the Gear Box Factory Mixed Final (503m), Hill Top trainer Leonard Humberstone went close to breaking the local duck when his unlucky runner Hunter Winemaker (9-4) finished second to My Special (4-6).
Hunter Winemaker has yet to taste victory in 10 races and the black dog's luckless run continued on Saturday with the dog involved in a clash early on in the race.
After the clash the dog languished at the tail of the field before working his way into second place in the back straight.
However Hunter Winemaker could make up little ground on My Special, which won by four lengths in a time of 30.65.
