Wingello lost outright in a closely fought match against Goulburn Workers on Saturday at Bradman Oval.
A massive boundary by Workers big-hitter Robert Channing in the final over propelled the Goulburn side to an outright victory, their third of the season.
Wingello scored 193 runs in their first innings, setting a sizeable target.
Workers struggled for most of the afternoon, with Wingello bowlers taking their toll.
Andrew Benson took a pair of early wickets and things were looking grim for the Workers.
But things turned around for the visitors through some big hitting from Tai Batina (69) and Brentyn Quigley (30).
Wingello kept up the pressure, and when Channing stepped up to the crease in the last over only four runs separating the two sides.
Channing flicked one to the boundary to give Workers the win and keep them within striking distance of second spot on the ladder.
Wingello began the day cautiously with Michael Pike and Bob Lewis settling things down in the early overs before Pike was caught behind from Stuart Joyce's bowling for 11.
A partnership of 46 between Lewis and James Baldwin followed, with Workers unable to slow the run rate or take a wicket.
But the effort ground to a halt when Goulburn spinner Ben Conway had Lewis out for 27.
Another two balls and Conway had Aaron Deegan out LBW for a duck, leaving Wingello at 3 for 82.
But Baldwin was putting up a serious fight, reaching 79, before an unlucky run-out saw Wingello's best hope out of the game.
Conway, Batina and captain Mark Rudd finished off the Wingello innings, which ended on 193.
