After a wet first week, the temperature warmed up and the rain subsided for members of the Mittagong Swimming Club on Friday night.
Friday marked the first week of the new point score season and there were still good numbers of members in attendance.
The staff at the pool have done a remarkable job through the wet at Mittagong Pool to have near perfect water.
On Friday there were plenty of swimmers, Zoe Elliot to name just one, taking to the blocks for every event that they could compete in.
They will no doubt be lining up to check those times against recorder Craig Parsons' master sheet next week, to see the times they need to beat for a new season's personal best.
There were also new registrations on Friday, which will add to the already large number of families (ninety prior to Friday) and individuals who have turned out to test themselves this season.
It was also great to see some of the adults getting back into the water and having some fun this week, even if the did set a bad example, with the only break of the night.
This week the program was popular, with several kickboard and 12.5 metre races before the timing began on the 25 metre events.
There were eight heats of freestyle and six heats of butterfly.
