The Frensham School continued its remarkable run in snowsports events, returning from a recent national carnival with an impressive three gold medals.
Twelve students from the school competed in the 2004 Subaru Australian Interschools Snowsports Championships at Perisher Blue from September 9-12, and gave the dominant Victorian schools a real run for their money.
The individual star for the Mittagong-based school was undoubtedly Kristi-Rose Pikkat, who was the national champion in division two alpine.
However, the whole team performed fantastically well, with the alpine division two team collecting gold along with the division two skiercross team.
Frensham entered seven teams in competition; one moguls, three alpine and three skiercross teams, which all achieved superb results, particularly considering the size of the school.
Other results that should be mentioned are the division one skiercross team's silver medal and the alpine division one team's strong performance to pick up bronze.
