Bowral Touch Association's (BTA) summer season kicked off on Monday night with 16 teams taking part in the mixed competition.
The opening round went off without a hitch with all the teams turning up on time ready for another season of social footy.
The results for this week's matches weren't recorded, as next week's won't be, with teams and players given two weeks to get their house in order before the competition starts.
This also gives officials a chance to sort out the grading and determine which teams belong in which grade.
With 16 teams entered, there will probably two grades of mixed, while for the men's comp on Wednesday, a massive 30 teams have entered, which will be probably split into three grades.
The men's comp had its first week last week with 14 teams taking part, but after a late surge of interest and team nominations this week there will be 15 matches played tonight at BTA's new summer venue - Eridge Park at Burradoo.
Unfortunately the main rugby ground can't be used as it is prepared for the US rugby team's visit later this month, but nevertheless matches will still be played on the second field, as well as the hockey fields for the 6pm matches.
Until daylight savings starts on the last weekend of October, there will be only two matches on after 6.35pm as there are lights on only one rugby field.
However tonight there will be five matches kicking off at 6pm with Up N Atem playing Jets and the Replacements facing Kaos Kolts on the top fields.
In the other early games, Willows meet Team Fox, the Pacemakers clash with Redbacks and Gopher Broke lines up against Kaos Kodgers.
Players who are interested in playing at the Southern Suns Tournament on November 15/16 are asked to attend rep trials next Tuesday at Eridge Park from 6pm.
The teams the association will be entering into the tournament are: men's open, men's 20s, men's 30/35s, men's 40s and mixed open.
