The trip of a lifetime

Seventeen local cricketers embarked on an experience of a lifetime on Wednesday when they flew out for the beginning of a three-week cricket tour of the United Kingdom.

The Oxley College cricket development squad flew out from Sydney on Wednesday and will play up to nine games on the tour, including matches in Ireland and Scotland, before returning to Sydney on July 11.

The squad of 17, which includes two Oxley College staff members, Peter Craig and Tim Dibdin, is the third group to tour from the College and this is the first time the school will visit Ireland.
