Local sport's most remarkable winning streak rumbled ahead on Saturday when
the invincible Yerrinbool Bushrangers brushed aside archrivals Patris at Centennial Rd.
It's not often a side belts out the club song after a two goal drubbing but Patris could be excused for feeling satisfied against a Yerinbool outfit that hasn't tasted defeat in four years -plundering nearly 100 goals in just 14 matches this season.
The Bushrangers again committed grand larceny with the opposition, cutting a swathe through Patris' midfield and hopelessly outclassing the side touted as their only real threats in the men's division.
"It's a pretty good result for us and it's so hard to beat their experience," Patris coach Frank Smith said.
"They just know how to draw players and it's like they've got an extra player out there.
"We're one of the few teams that make them work and if we were full strength, we'd do them."
The two sides that turned last year's grand final into a disgraceful bloodbath have developed a fierce rivalry and it showed from the opening whistle.
But Patris' potent defence was not enough to match the Bushrangers vision and cohesion, with the visitors finding plenty of room up the middle and having eight shots on goal to the oppositions
