The invincible Port O' Call crew have done it again, snatching a record-breaking third straight title in Monday night's men's A summer soccer decider.
The Highlands United based first grade side ran out narrow 4-3 winners against young guns The Punishers in a match that had everything.
"We knew it'd be a tough match but I think experience and confidence won it for us in the end," Port captain Craig Ash said.
"They almost beat us though and we were all pretty nervous before the match, we really wanted to win.
"It's great to make it three in a row."
The match started at a cracking pace with Punisher's pocket dynamo Scott Friedwald stunning the opposition with a brilliant individual opening goal.
This thrust the premiers into unfamiliar territory but leading goal scorer Steve Ash answered the call minutes later finding the equalizer on the back of a clever Ray Collins dummy.
Punishers were feeling just that bit sicker when Nigel Tasker cannoned one in off the side bar to make it 2-1 soon after.
Chris Spilarewicz gave Port a handy buffer on half time with a classy one on one goal against a deflated Punishers keeper.
A Scott Friedwald winner from a fast break kept the Punishers in the match but the young striker was given his marching orders minutes later after bringing Craig Ash down just outside the circle.
And Ash made them pay, calmly slotting one through to make it 4-2.
With time running out the Punisher's Chris Soderborg gave his side a sniff but if experience teaches one thing, it's how to use the clock and Port pushed it around until the final whistle.
Best player for Punishers was Scott Friedwald with his clever first touch play while Port O' Call put up a solid all-round effort.
