22 Feb, 2005 02:56 PM
At the Australian Indoor Hockey invitationals, held at Wollongong in early January, players and coaches from Bowral and Mittagong gained honours winning the under-14 boys and under-16 girls.

In the NSW under-16 girls team that won were Megan Drapalski and Kate Lewis.

The NSW Lions team that came second included Kimberley Bunt and Rebecca Lewis.

The NSW under 14 boys side that won was coached by Jye Bunt.

The NSW Waratahs under-13 team that came second featured Jordan Loveridge.

Katie Lewis and Megan Drapalski were part of the undefeated NSW under-16 women's indoor hockey team that won the national invitational title at Unanderra on January 13, 2005.

Katie played striker and scored six-great goals over the tournament and was a strong attacking and defensive player for the team.

This is Katie's second state team, having been part of the 2004 NSW under-14 women's hockey team for outdoor hockey.
