Oxley College’s fencing team became the second most successful school in the National Schools Fencing Cup, after taking out the 2007 title in Melbourne recently.

The Australian under-20s Epee Nationals were held at the same time with Oxley’s Max Peek upstaging classmate and team captain John Downes 15-14 to win the national epee title.

Downes took out the under-17s title earlier this year.
